Advanced Art Week 4 Progress

Art III students are working on a project about spirituality. In this project they must create an artwork that reflects their own idea of spiritualism and their cultural heritage of spirituality. Art IV students are working diligently to produce 12 high quality works for the breadth section of their AP Studio 2D Design portfolio.

Adam is creating a sculpture that represents his and his family's Christian values.

Baylee is creating a mixed media self-portrait for her 2D Design portfolio.

Brandon is creating a weird room in a fish bowl for his 2D Portfolio.

Deja is responding to the Black Lives Matter movement through mixed media relief and monoprint for her 2D portfolio.

Krystina is addressing aspects of an individual's history/memory through her mixed media relief and mono print.

Erin is addressing spirituality through a self-portrait and her eyes.

Emily is creating a somewhat non-representational work that expresses her parents' conflicting Christian/political beliefs.

Alec is exploring his Native American heritage through an image that represents him being lost in a forest and being found by the native spirits.

Elisa is incorporating her church into an artwork that shows how she is going to tackle the world with her values.
